University Entrance Checklist

  • NCEA University Entrance Requirements
    • 14 Credits at Level 3 in three approved subjects
    • 10 literacy credits at Level 2 or above (at least 5 reading and 5 writing credits).  A list of these standards can be found here
    • 10 numeracy credits at Level 1 or above.  A list of these standards can be found here
  • Guaranteed entry score (GES), also called ‘rank score’
  • Finally, check if the course you want to do has any other specific requirements.  This can generally be found on the course page of the relevant university’s website
