We all procrastinate from time to time! But it’s important to know how to stop procrastinating when you need to get some study done.

1. SET A TIMER FOR 25 MINUTES

Put your phone into flight mode if you want to use it as a timer.  Also, consider downloading the Forest app if you want a fancy timing app.

Decide what you’re going to do for the next 25 mins – be specific with this: for example, doing the 2016 Level One English past exam, or making a summary sheet for Maths.

Get everything ready to do this, then set your timer for 25 minutes, and go do it.  No distractions, just go at it for the next 25 minutes.

2. TAKE A FIVE MINUTE BREAK

Once the time is up, set a timer for 5 minutes – have a break, avoid anything that will distract you for too long like social media – just go, grab a drink or a snack, and then once the 5 minutes is up, set another 25 minute timer and keep studying.
